The EASG has organised the 10th conference on Gambling Studies and Policy Issues in Helsinki from 9th to 12th September 2014.
Legal, industrial, economic and social matters relating to this specific sector will be tackled in the presence of European Commission representative, national gambling regulators and health institutions, renowned academics and leading gaming and gambling operators and associations.
Pre conference workshops will focus on the low threshold services on the internet and Big Data & Player Protection issue: how Big Data can assist in understanding and protecting Players.
Plenary and parallel sessions will offer a regulatory overview on Europe with specific regard to the Nordic regulating countries and the Finish Gaming model.
Within the legal panel “To regulate or not to regulate”, EGLA will debate with the European Commission representative, and national gambling regulators about the cross border gambling offer in Europe and the pros and cons of a regulated market.
Within the History & advertising panel, EGLA members will share the trends of Italian gambling in the last decade and its social impact.
